EFM | Glass House Distribution Secures Global Rights for 'INGRESS'

A Sci-Fi Film that Explores Love, Loss, and The Multiverse

Glass House Distribution announces the acquisition of worldwide sales rights and theatrical release of INGRESS, the directorial debut of award-winning writer and filmmaker Rachel Noll James (Don’t Pass Me By, The Storyteller, Inheritance). The feature is produced by Sienna Beckman of Emergence Films. Noll James, who also wrote the script, delivers a powerhouse performance in the lead role of Riley.

INGRESS will be released theatrically in ten theatres across the U.S. from Los Angeles to Washington state and New Mexico. Please check your local listings on this site: www.EmergenceFilms.us/Ingress. The Los Angeles screening will be at the Glendale Laemmle Theatre from February 23rd through the 29th. The director, cast and crew will be present for a Q&A.

INGRESS
tells the story of a woman who can move between parallel realities. She loses her husband tragically and must overcome past trauma to travel the multiverse once again and find her way into a reality where he is still alive. This story was born from a desire to explore mind-bending concepts while rooting them in a deeply human and relatable experience.

Tom Malloy, president of Glass House Distribution says: ”We felt Ingress is compelling and unique, which is something that’s not common in today’s indie scene. This is a movie that makes you think and question the aspect of a multiverse.”

The film that critic Chris Jones calls “expansively surreal” and that Tideland Magazine describes as “tender and poignant” has garnered numerous accolades in the festival circuit, most notably the nominations for Best Feature, Best Directorial Debut, and Best Lead Actress (Rachel Noll James) at the Climax Festival International de Cinéma Indépendent.

As a filmmaker, I have found myself continually drawn to the complexities of human relationships. Ingress is a story seeded from experiences in my own life, and expanded to the farthest reaches of my imagination. What I love most about talking to people after they see this film is that no two people take away the same message. But, the message each person takes is deeply personal to them,” says director-writer Rachel Noll James.  “I like to think of this film, as Lucas says in one of the key scenes, as a doorway for people interested in exploring new ways of viewing the world and their place in it,” she adds.

INGRESS was the first narrative feature helmed by Emergence Films, the US and UK-based production company co-founded by Rachel Noll James and Sienna Beckman.
