The annual amfAR Gala Cannes 2025 returned in dazzling form at the legendary Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, reaffirming its status as one of the most prestigious philanthropic highlights of the Cannes Film Festival 2025. Blending glamour, entertainment, and high-stakes fundraising, the evening once again brought together an international constellation of celebrities, fashion icons, and industry leaders—all united in support of AIDS research.
The red carpet was a spectacle in its own right, as stars including Paris Jackson, Heidi Klum, Karolína Kurková, Spike Lee, Lauren Sanchez, Barbara Palvin, Amy Jackson, Adrien Brody, and Izabel Goulart made striking appearances. Their presence, alongside many others from film, fashion, and business, underscored the global appeal and influence of the gala.
Inside the venue, guests were treated to an exclusive live performance by the iconic British band Duran Duran, whose set infused the evening with energy and nostalgia. The performance stood out as one of the night’s defining moments, seamlessly merging entertainment with the gala’s philanthropic mission.
At the heart of the evening was the much-anticipated charity auction, a cornerstone of the event that consistently drives substantial contributions toward HIV/AIDS research. This year’s auction featured a curated selection of extraordinary lots—from rare luxury experiences to one-of-a-kind artworks—sparking intense bidding wars among attendees. Several items fetched multi-million-dollar offers, reflecting both the exclusivity of the lots and the commitment of donors to the cause.
Organized by amfAR, the gala continues to play a crucial role in funding innovative research initiatives aimed at ending the global AIDS epidemic. Beyond its opulence, the evening served as a powerful reminder of the impact that collective action and high-profile advocacy can achieve.
As the lights dimmed over Cap d’Antibes, the 2025 edition of the amfAR Gala left behind not only memories of glamour and artistry, but also a renewed sense of purpose—proving once again that Cannes is not just about cinema, but also about changing lives.
